Comfort Zone (Smokey Eye)

So here is another eye look with the
new 8-pan Wet n Wild palettes,
this is a sultry, smokey green eye using
Comfort Zone

Here are some swatches

 ( left side )

                                                                       ( right side )

This palette is very pigmented, and the colors are all stunning.
My only complaint is that there are no mattes.
The color in the far bottom right corner is a dupe for
MAC's Club shadow. The duochrome is amazing, however,
the base is WAY too red for my skin tone.
When I use this color, I always use it over another color,
to allow the duochrome to shine, but without the red,
which is what I did here.

Starting with Palladio Eyeshadow Primer
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in - Horseradish on the lid
#6 on the lid
#7 in the crease
#1 in inner corner & highlight
#4 in Outer V
#8 on top of #4 on Outer V
Jordana Easy Liner in - Seagreen across top lash line and outer corner of bottom lash line
#6 center bottom lash line
#1 inner corner bottom lash line
Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara in - Very Black

These palettes are really so gorgeous, and the great news is,
they are NOT limited addition, so if you haven't picked these up,
but were thinking about it,
I HIGHLY recommend them.

Tons of possible eye looks with this single palette alone.

FINALLY!!

After what seemed like years of endless searching,
I FINALLY found the Wet n Wild 8-pan palettes!

YAY!!

 Blue Had Me At Hello

&
Comfort Zone

While Petal Pusher seemed pretty, the color tones in
the palette do not suit me, so I just picked up these two.

Like WnW's previous palette's, the colors are beautiful and pigmented,
and I am already hearing talk of some possible dupes.
Here is Blue Had Me At Hello, swatched.

Ignoring the fact that I clearly cannot take a
decent makeup photo to save my life, I wanted to show
you this icy blue look I created with this gorgeous palette.

Since the shadows are not named, I've numbered
them so I can list what I've used.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden - as base
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pots & Pans - over lid
WnW #2 over lid
WnW # 5 inner corner, swept onto lid
MAC in Brule' as transition & highlight
WnW #3 in crease
WnW #4 in outer V
CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara in Very Black (top lashes)
NYX Long Lash Mascara in Electric Blue ( bottom lashes)

I'll be sure post swatches and eye looks of Comfort Zone soon!

Wet n Wild....you are KILLING me!!

About every 2-3 days, I head out early in the morning,
and canvas every
Walgreen's CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Read
that I can find within a 15 mile area
to see if I'll get lucky enough to find the new
Wet n Wild 8-pan shadow palettes

Not only have I not found them yet, which is frustrating in itself,
but each store I go into I manage to
find new little gems of polish just calling to me,
BUY ME!

It's like sending an alcoholic to October fest!
Like a fat kid in a bakery!
Ahhhhhh I can't take it!!
These little bottles of love call to me, taunt me!
I've NO willpower what so ever!
But good lord, my wallet is empty and my shelves are over-flowing!

Wet n Wild, you are KILLING ME!!

This is what I ended up with on today's excursion

Petites is a very nice brand with minimal color choices,
but with that being said, the colors they DO have are just so pretty!

Fairy Pink is a blue-based Pink with a fine holo.
It's subtle, but with just enough kick to have to you drooling.
I'm really loving this.

Periwinkle, is just that. A classic periwinkle but this is a dusty, muted version of the shade. Another winner.

Fantastic, smooth application.
Periwinkle would have been fine with 1 coat,
but I always go with 2.
Fairy Pink builds in intensity with every coat, so I say,
go layer crazy with it!

These were purchased for $3.99 each at Rite Aid

These Wet n Wild MegaBlast colors are from their Spring collection,
and this is actually the first time I've seen them in the store,
so slowly but surely we are making progress here, WnW.

Sugar Coat, is the palest of Pink creams.
She needed 3 coats to get a true opaqueness out of it,
but it's worth it.
Great for work, great for french mani's great for Spring & Summer,
this color wil carry through it all, what more can you ask for?

Club Havana. Fitting name.
When I look at it, I think of warm summer nights in Miami.
This Orange-based coral cream applied wonderfully in a single coat.

Tropicalia. This Pink-based coral is that classic fruit punch color,
and one of my all time favorites for the summer on my toes.

While these bottles may be tiny,
the formula and color pack a big punch.
and who can resist the cuteness of these bottles?
Clearly I can't.

These were purchased for $1.99 each at CVS

Wet n Wild 2011 Fast Dry Polish

Launched just this month,
Wet n Wild's new 2011 collection
consists of a full range of eye palettes, mascara, liners,
glosses, and polishes.

This is limited edition,
which means that there is merely a
small display with only 2 of each featured item.
So of you are interested in these and you happen
to come across them in the store, don't hesitate,
because they will be gone fast.

With that being said,
naturally I snagged 6 of their new
Fast Dry Nail Polishes.

These polishes, actually, if I am correct,
I believe the entire collection is named after TV shows.
Some may complain that it's a bit cheezy,
I happen to think it's adorable.

The Gold and The Beautiful
This is a bright Yellow Gold fine shimmer, glitter

Gray's Anatomy
This is a Silver Shimmer with a Pink duochrome

Buffy The Violet Slayer
A very bold and true royal Purple shimmer,
this is my personal favorite

Sage In The City
A very pretty Lime shimmer, the perfect Spring Green

Saved By The Blue
Hmm, why does this color look familiar?
This is a classic Cobalt Blue Shimmer

Party Of Five Glitters
Multi-sized & colored hexagon glitter in a clear jelly

While none of these colors are extremely unique,
the formula is pretty smooth and
the colors are pretty in their own right.
And let's face it, who can pass up $1.99?
I am also really liking the new bottles,
they have a sleekness to them that
WnW polish hasn't really had before.
My only complaint is that these claim to be 'FAST DRY" polishes,
which I just didn't find to be the case.
The drying time was pretty standard to most other regular polish.

I'm sure if I rummage into my polish I can
find dupes for most of these, but one that grabbed
me as soon as I saw it was,
Saved By The Blue
It is an EXACT dupe for
China Glaze's Frostbite

Here are some swatches

There is a total of 18 colors in the collection,
with more cute names like

Everybody Loves Redmond

9.0.2.1.Orange

Teal or No Teal

Teal of Fortune

How I Met Your Magenta

Hannah Pinktana

Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire

These are worth a 2nd look,
especially those with tightened wallets after the holidays.
and the colors are super bright and the names are fun.

As I said before,
jump on these fast, as they won't last in the stores for long.

I found these at Walgreen's for $1.99 each
