I'M IN LOVE!

In love with my latest polish purchase that is!!

I cannot tell you how long I've been lemming after
these polishes, but I can say, it's been a longgggg time!

Ozotic is an Australian polish brand with
some of the most stunning duo-chrome & multi-chrome polishes
I've come across in a while.
They aren't named, but rather they are numbered.

505 is a delicious green based teal multi-chrome that flashes
to a gorgeous teal, blue, violet and purple.

507 is a rich golden olive that flashes to green and blue/green.
This polishis said to be quite similar to
Chanel's Peridot polish,
and while I don't own Peridot to compare if it is a dupe,
from the photos I've seen I can see a strong resemblance.

528 is from the Elytra collection and is a
multi-chromatic glitter polish in a clear
jelly base, flashing blue, teal, violet and purple.

Here is 507 on my nails

Here are swatches of 505 & 528

The formula is superb on these, smooth a butter.
The only negative is their limited availability and their price,
which can vary from anywhere of $14 -$20 per bottle,
depending on where you purchase.

Picture Polish carries the full line of Ozotic polishes,
for $12-$14 each
but they don't ship to the U.S. or Canada

llarowe also carries Ozotic polishes, as well as
several other more difficult to find brands.
Ozotic are $17.50 each
And they ship WORLDWIDE

suem427, from E-bay is a authorized U.S. seller
for Ozotic polishes, for $19 each

The bottom line is, where ever you can get your
hands on these incredible polishes, they are
completely worth your hard earned money.
Every time I look at my nails, I swear I can hear
Carrie Bradshaw clearly in my head saying,
Hello Lover!

YouTube Collaboration

As much as I love YouTube,
let's face it, there are some negative aspects for
anyone who regularly uploads videos.

"You talk too much"

"You sound so stupid"

"Your sloppy"

"You stole my design!"

"You suck"

" Wow your makeup is bad"

"Your design looks just like "so-in-so's" design, you copied from her!"

...and the list could go on for hours.

So much negativity from people that probably never uploaded
a video in their life.No one takes the time to
appreciate all the time and effort that person has made
to make that video, for no other reason other than
its just something they have a passion for.
Ah, but I digress.

Robin Moses and ProfessionalDQ decided to
embrace the positive, by taking a stand together,
and celebrate the amazing and diverse talent in the
art community on YouTube by doing a massive Holiday collaboration.

Anyone in the YT art community, whether you are a painter,
or do makeup or nail videos, to all join together and support
each other in a positive way by making a
"Let It Snow" themed video, share it on YT, and then
attach it to any other " Let It Snow" collab video.

Such an amazing idea, especially at this time of year,
when we have one too many Grinch's on our hands.

Anyway, here is my design from the
Let It Snow collaboration.

Today, December 5th,
anyone who would like to participate in
this massive collaboration of
friendship and comradery,
just has to create a design, upload a video for it,
and attach it to any other "Let It Snow" collaboration video
or simply show your support to
Robin, ProfessionalDQ, myself, and the countless others
in this amazing collab, by watching the videos, giving a
"thumbs up" and a positive comment

Happy Holidays!

Weekend Mani

This is my Thanksgiving, into Black Friday, into weekend mani,
because let's face it,
with the crazy shopping deals so many stores have out there this weekend,
there is no time for switching mani's!
It's a good thing I really like this color combination,
since I'm going to be staring at it for a few days :D

Pokemon Nails!

I can't tell you how many times I've been asked
to do a tutorial for Pokemon nails....

so, here ya go, simple. but extremely cute if I do say so myself,
and I'm not even a fan lol

Glittery Peacock

Here's a design from all things,
a Christmas ornament.
I found these peacock ornaments in Walmart
the other week and I absolutely fell in love with them!!
The moment I grabbed them, I just knew I had to
make it into a nail design

PRODUCTS USED:

Pro Nail Systems Base Coat
Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in - Going Green
L.A.Girls Glitter Addict in - Purge
Model's Own in - Purple Haze
Milani in - Blue Lightening
So Easy Stripe Rite in - Metallic Gold
Blue Teardrop Rhinestones

On a side note,
as time goes by,
I am having more and more difficulty
struggling to make a decent design
with my carpal tunnel syndrome.

I refuse to give up my love for nail art.
Surgery is not an option for me at this time.
I already have braces, but they only do so much.
If anyone else is struggling with
similar issues and you have an ointment or technique that
works for you, please share it with me as I'm
becoming increasingly frustrated with my mangled hands!

Kleancolor - Chunky Black Holo

A Grey tinted jelly with multi-sized hex holo glitters
that reflect from
Red - Orange - Yellow - Green
A single layer over a basic black cream
and you've got magic on your nails!
My only gripe about this polish is that
for whatever reason, Kleancolor's
jelly's take AGES to dry.

The trick is to use extremely thin coats and
wait at least 30 minutes between coats.
I know, ridiculous, right?
For some shades I wouldn't bother, but this one
it's worth the slow process.
YUMMY!

ma.nish.ma. polishes

So I was in Rite aid the other day
picking up the basic necessities,
when I couldn't help myself but to wander over to
the polish section to see if any new goodies were there.

I discovered this little of ma.nish.ma polishes from Hedy's.
I was somewhat familiar with Hedy's, having done
previous posts about some of their nail art stickers,
here. and also their Oke Doke polishes, here.
But never had seen these ma.nish.ma. polishes,
so naturally my curiosity got the best of me.

There are just 3 shades available

All 3 are duochromes with fine shimmery glitter.

Beyond Opal flashing from Green to Orange
Way Out Fuscia flashing from Hot Pink to Blurple
Blaster from Purple to Blue

The formula is very nice, but they are certainly
nothing to write home about.
They are extremely sheer,
these swatches are with 4 coats and still
they could have used another coat or 2.

So, realizing that they would be much better suited as
a top coat, I layered all 3 over black.

WOW!
Now we're talking!
The colors come to life with just a single coat over black,
bringing out both the duochrome & the fine glitter/shimmer.
DELISH!

While the shades aren't terribly unique,
 with lots of dupes
Beyond Opal is an EXACT dupe for Jessie's Gurl - Fire Fly
Still, they are quite lovely.
If you happen to see them, I'd say have a 2nd look.

Each bottle is .22 oz. and retails for $3.99 each

Army/Olive Green Comparision

As I was putting away my China Glaze Westside Warrior
that I purchased in my last haul.....
I realized that I must really love this color
because holy smokes I have alot of bottles of this shade.
So, this happens to be one of my favorites for
Autumn, I decided to break them all out
and do a little comparing.

Starting from Top left:

Wet n Wild Fast dry polish in Jungle Fever
This shade is from this Halloween's limited edition collection,
  Prowl.
It is a beautiful shimmer that applies perfectly in a single coat.

Zoya in Shawn
From the Wonderful collection,
this has really got to be one of my all time favorite
Zoya polishes, it is a classic military green cream.
As will most Zoya's it applies like a dream.

Brucci in Black Emerald
This is a very interesting duochrome.
and though the name says Emerald,
it definitely fits more into the Olive/Army Green
range, with it flashing from a deep chestnut Brown
to a deep Green.
If you are one who likes unique colors in your
collection, I defintely recommend adding this one
to your list.

Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Catwalk
This brand, if you aren't familiar is UK based
and I received it in a swap from my friend,
Karolina.
This Olive shade is a shimmer, with the tiniest
reflects of Gold & forest Green.
Really eye catching in the sun.

Kleancolor in Fashionista
This cream is Army Green in it's purest form.
When I think military, this is the exact shade that comes to mind.
This is very opaque, applying in a single coat

Eyeko in Military Polish
This jelly based Army Green is on the dark side,
and gives a real nice finish with 3 coats.

China Glaze in Westside Warrior
From this season's Metro Collection,
is a brown-based army Green cream
Applies in opaque in 1-2 coats.

Kleancolor in Military Green
Another cream, this is also very opaque.
This shade borders between Army Green & forest Green.

Sinful Colors in Show Me The Way
This is a jelly-based shimmer that can be used
as a top coat or buildable to a full cover.
This shade is similar to China Glaze's Zombie Zest

BYS in Fern
An Australian based polish brand,
I was fortunate enough to grab a bunch in a swap.
The formula is really smooth.
At first glance it looks like a cream, but when applied
it has a slight silver shimmer to it.
Interesting and unique, I find it difficult to actually describe!

Confetti in My Favorite Martian
This shade, while still falling into the Olive range,
has the most true green in it of all the other shades,
but the consistency and finish is almost identical to
Sinful Colors Show Me The Way
Another jelly, this boasts a slightly more intense shimmer.

Here's some swatches
(pics are expandable)

And there you have it.
A pretty good run down of brands and shade ranges,
so if you are interested in adding this color to
your collection, as you can see you have a
pretty wide selection to choose from!

OPI - DS Glamour

Though I'm not a huge lover of Blue,
this polish is one of my all time coveted polishes.
From OPI's Designer series, this highly sought after shade
is a vivid Royal Blue prismatic polish.
While it's no secret that OPI is not even close to being
on of my personal top
brands, the formula on this gem is TOP NOTCH,
needing just a single coat for this superb brilliance.

Pure holo goodness.
